CITY SECRETS FOODIE ADVENTURE
From authentic Asian cuisine to natural wine, delicious Italian baked goods, quality coffee and loads more in-between, this tour is an amazing mixture of new, exciting venues and established local icons that are not to be missed!
You could spend years eating your way around the inner city to identify the best places to eat and drink. You could also spend the same amount of time researching the rich cultural history of Northbridge and the CBD.
OR – you could join our City Secrets Foodie Adventure and experience it all in the one day! We’ve gone over-and-above to put together a unique selection of the areas best food – all you have to do is come along and enjoy the ride!
Like all Food Loose Tours, our adventurers buy their own food along the way. This is all part of sharing and interacting with your fellow food lovers.
We estimate it will be no more than $30 in food costs per person (but please bring extra if you’d like to buy a few drinks along the way).

A key ingredient to having a great time on our tours is the sharing of food. You will join with other Food Loose Tour Foodies and share the delights of varying portion sizes along the way. We recommend bringing small notes and coins, approximately $20 to $25.
Tours depart at 11am sharp, so please be at the meeting point by 10:45am for registration (we have a lot of awesome food to pack in so we need to leave on time).
The tour starts on the corner of William and James Streets OUTSIDE the Brass Monkey Hotel. It is a 15 minute walk maximum from all Perth train stations. It is also very close to the Wellington(Roe) Street bus port.
There are multiple parking options available. In Lindsay St Perth there is free parking beyond 12pm on Saturdays. There is a multi storey car park adjacent to the Library, just up from the Brass Monkey with the entrance on Aberdeen Street.
Tickets must be purchased in advance online using Visa or Mastercards. Please make sure you purchase tickets well in advance of your desired tour date, as our tours sell out quickly. We have a no refund policy.
We currently do not have a waiting list system. Please email us at email@example.com to find out if an additional tour has been added that suits your schedule.
Tours are conducted rain or shine. A good portion of our time is spent walking outdoors. However, we will take breaks out of the weather along the way, for both the heat and rain.
We do a fair amount of walking on our tours. You should dress casually and wear comfortable shoes or sneakers. Please wear a rain jacket and bring an umbrella in winter. In summer ensure you have a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water.
We will be visiting up to 7 different food and drink vendors on the tour from all different cuisines. Most people think it’s enough for a hearty lunch. You will not be hungry at the end!
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, gluten free, allergy, etc.). Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate your needs.
Yes. We have vegetarian options on our tours. Be sure to let us know, well in advance, and we will ensure to suggest appropriate substitutions.
It is a good idea to arrive at the meeting location a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the tour start time. In fairness to the people, who arrived on time, we will leave sharply at the tour start time. If you are late, you may call us at on 0467 542 437 to try and find the group, once we have left the starting point. There are no guarantees you will be able to find the group, as our guides are narrating the tour and will not necessarily pick up their mobile phones. There are no reschedules or refunds for late comers, who cannot find the group.
We have a 48 hour rescheduling policy. You must notify us by email to email@example.com at least 48 hours before your tour to reschedule. Otherwise, unfortunately you will forfeit your ticket.
We’re on our feet for approximately 4 hours. We walk at a casual pace and stand in place for a few minutes at various attractions. The streets have a slight incline and you will have to walk down some stairs along the way. Please let us know in advance, if you have difficulty walking up/down stairs, and we will try to make arrangements for you.
Our friendly tour guides make learning about the history, culture, and foods of the areas we visit interesting, informative, and fun. Please gauge whether or not you think this tour is appropriate for your child. Children under the age of 5 are free. You may bring a stroller on the tour, but it will have to remain outside, if the food establishment is busy.
Pets are not allowed on any of our food tasting tours.
Our tours are specifically designed to take you to the “hidden gems” only a die hard Foodie knows about. Local West Australians take our tours and the usual response is “I never knew these hidden gems existed”. None of our tours have a touristy feel to them. Our goal is for you to interact, have fun and experience the culinary secrets of Perth City.
Tour guides tips are not included in the cost of your tour. Tips are not essential, however like most service, when its exceptional you are usually happy to provide a gratuity.
Yes Gift Certificates are available from www.foodloosetours.com.au. You can buy gift certificates for someone local, a visitor, or as a corporate gift.
Private and Corporate tours are available for our International Food Adventure Tour. This tour is a perfect team building event for a team of up to 30 people, birthday celebration, or friends gathering.
